I have always loved a good story. As a child I remember searching for treasures and oddities in the back of my grandfather's junk store, imagining what tales they could tell. Now, as an artist, I take once-cherished items and look for ways to give them new life and new stories. Look for antique and vintage wedding gowns preserved in cement in the studio along with the celebration of aged lace in cement. The woods have their own tales to tell when we listen. They tell them in textures, colors and smells, in sounds and in silence. These are the inspiration for the bark sculptures and the fairy doors. I hope they inspire new stories of their own.
